About Mandee Johnson Photography

Technically, my job title is “wedding photographer, editorial + commercial photographer, author, live comedy + scripted TV producer,” but that doesn’t exactly fit on a business card. It may be a mouthful, but I’m damn proud of my multi-hyphenate life; it’s exactly what makes me such a skilled photographer. Each role continues to push me — in lighting, posing, client relations, creative concepts, leading a team, managing the complexity of events, and more — and benefits my approach to wedding photography. Here’s what that means for you: not only do you have a chill plant lady and not-so-chill women’s soccer fan with impeccable taste in movies and a wicked sense of sarcasm for a wedding photographer, but I know how to tell an incredible story. Using bold portraits, unsuspecting detail shots, and images of the action-packed dance floor, I’ll weave together a final gallery that tells the narrative of your wedding with honesty, artistry, and emotion.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Are Custom collections available?
  2. Definitely, I encourage my clients to explore this route because every wedding is unique. Let’s discuss how you envision your wedding, and I can send you a tailored proposal.
  3. Tell me more about your film photography.
  4. I include film photography in most of my collections because I feel that the true beauty of a wedding day would be lost if it didn’t capture some of it on film. I shoot a mix of color and black and white film on my Contax 645 and Yashica 124G.
  5. Do you offer wedding cinematography?
  6. I'm not a wedding cinematographer but I do offer Super 8mm films. My films are a way to transform my photography into a moving art and they're seriously gorgeous. The final result is more like a 90s home-video-meets-music-video vibe.
