About Coolhaus
A little bit about us: In 2008, 25 year-olds Natasha Case and Freya Estreller started baking cookies and making ice cream from scratch and naming the combinations after architects ("Frank Berry," "Mies Vanilla Rohe," "IM Pei-nut Butter") to help bring awareness and joy back into the architecture and real estate professions that they hailed from. They also started dating (they are now married and live with their son Remy and two dogs in Mid-City!). The following spring, they took their hand-crafted, unique ice cream sammies in an old, beat up postal van they bought off Craigslist and master minded AAA to tow them to the 2009 Coachella Valley Music Festival. From there, Coolhaus went viral and acquired a cult following that they have since forayed into national grocery distribution (7,000+ stores ranging from Whole Foods and Gelson's to Safeway, Publix and soon-to-be Ralph's selling sammies, pints and soon-to-be bon bons), a national fleet of trucks in LA, NY, and Dallas, and scoop shops
