Since 1983, Tony and Joe's, located on the Potomac River in Georgetown's Washington Harbour, has been dedicated to providing you with the freshest seafood and steaks available anywhere. Mayor Muriel Bowser presents Tony Cibel, owner of Tony and Joe's, with the 2018 Honorary Milestone Rammy Award, which recognizes the restaurant's 30 years of excellence in dining. Tony is a native Washingtonian who has owned and operated businesses in the District of Columbia for more than 50 years, including Tony and Joe's and Nick's Riverside Grill. Chef David Stein, who was born and raised on Maryland's Eastern Shore, is a graduate of the Baltimore International Culinary College in Baltimore. Chef Stein worked as an executive sous chef at the Inn at Perry Cabin in St. Michaels, Maryland, for four years before starting his own business. For the next 16 years, he worked as both the owner and executive chef of Bistro St. Michaels in New York City. Living and cooking on the water has shaped his cooking style, which emphasizes the freshness of his ingredients.
