The Peanut Warehouse, located in the heart of Horry County, South Carolina, has a long and illustrious history. It was constructed in 1900 for the purpose of storing tobacco. Afterwards, it was used to store fertilizer before being converted into a peanut warehouse, thus the name. In the heart of historic Conway, just a few hundred yards from the Waccamaw River, it played an important role in the economy of the river town around the turn of the twentieth century.
