About The Witte Museum
The Witte Museum is San Antonio’s premiere museum of South Texas history, culture, and natural science. Located in Brackenridge Park, on the banks of the San Antonio River, the Witte is conveniently located only minutes from Downtown in a tranquil area of San Antonio and offers a unique setting for any special event. The campus includes two auditoriums, a native plant garden, a courtyard with covered veranda lined by majestic oak trees, and several historic buildings from the Spanish Colonial period to the late 1800’s. The Witte has meeting and event spaces for groups of 10 up to 1,500 people. There are several rental packages available that allow for both indoor and/or outdoor use. The Witte also allows guests to rent the entire museum facility in the evenings for private events. The H-E-B Science Treehouse offers a rooftop view overlooking Brackenridge Park. The museum is the perfect setting for any special occasion that requires a distinctive and versatile location.

- What is included in the venue rental cost?
- Our rental rate includes at minimum 3 hours of set up time, 4 hours of event time, and all tables and chairs to the max capacity of the room for most of our spaces.
- What is the venue refund or cancellation policy?
- The deposit is non-refundable, but we do offer a one time date change to be within a year of the original scheduled date of the event.
- Is the venue handicap accessible?
- All of our venues are ADA compliant.
- Does your venue have on-site parking available for guests?
- We have over 600 parking spaces spread over 3 areas. All of our parking is free.
- Does the venue have an approved or preferred vendor list?
- With any rental the client must work from our approved catering list which is sent to the client within the inquiry response.
