The Vendue

The space, which is located at 19 Vendue, combines ancient exposed brick and wood beam ceilings with contemporary design and art. The space may be used for a variety of events, including meetings and private breakfast and lunch celebrations. The Rooftop is ideally suited for intimate events in one of two VIP spaces. The Vendue is made up of two historic hotels in Charleston, SC: 19 Vendue and 26 Vendue, which are located across the street from one another. The 19 Vendue hotel is located in five ancient warehouses that date back to 1780 and have been integrated into one. 26 Vendue is the result of the merger of two ancient warehouses from the 1800s. Because of the historic nature of the buildings, no two rooms are alike, and each is individually furnished with period reproductions or genuine antiques. In 2014, the Vendue was refurbished and "reborn" as Charleston's first and only hotel dedicated to the arts in all of its manifestations. For our visitors' enjoyment, over 300 pieces of original art have been installed. Our main exhibition area encompasses all of 19 Vendue's public spaces.
