Boals, Sr. created the Boals Family Farm in 1965, carrying on a long line of family roots in the farming, culinary, and equestrian professions that stretch back to the 1800s. The property's authenticity is evident; the structures that embellish Boals Farm were made with lumber milled from the property's trees, and the ancient syrup kettle in the Syrup House has been in the Boals family since the 1800s. Mr. Boals, Sr. started the farm with a four-generation dedication, which is today led by Mr. Tommy Ray Boals, Sr. Tommy Boals, a native of Charleston and a graduate of Moultrie High School, is dedicated to cultivating and preserving this priceless piece of family history.
