About The Milling Room
The Milling Room, located in the center of the Upper West Side, serves seasonal, locally sourced American cuisine in a gorgeous sky-lit dining room and a vibrant tavern-inspired bar. The Milling Room, which opened its doors in November 2014, is located in the building that was originally constructed in 1890 as the elegant Endicott Hotel. When the original hotel opened, it was hailed as "the finest and best appointed in this part of the city" and "the finest and best appointed in this part of the city." The hotel was constructed of Pompeian brick and terracotta and included a glass-roofed Palm Room, which has since been replaced by The Milling Room. It was designed by Edward Angell, who also designed numerous other significant buildings on the Upper West Side, and built by Charles A. Fuller. The structure is located on Columbus Avenue between 81st and 82nd Streets, diagonally across from the American Museum of Natural History. For private events at The Milling Room, we offer three different event spaces, THE ENDICOTT ROOM (Capacity: 28 Seated Dinner | 35 Standing Reception), THE MAIN DINING ROOM (Capacity: 100 Seated Dinner with Dance Floor), and THE TAVERN. In a gorgeous courtyard that used to be the lobby of the Endicott Hotel (1890), the Milling Room is the ideal gathering space for friends, families, and coworkers to catch up with one another. Our several group dining choices, which include great service and friendly hospitality, will ensure that you and your guests have a memorable time.
