The Island House

The Island House sits on a private island on the banks of the Stono River. With stunning sunsets, a 180º view of the river, and a constant island breeze you can be assured to have your own little piece of the Lowcountry. ‍ The Island House is a private events venue on the Stono River, with a gorgeous view of our small marina. We own the whole island, so you can expect unsurpassed security and privacy for your big day. The house is included for our brides to get ready for a beautiful waterfront wedding ceremony. Also, we have an accessible dock for photos and the ability to provide boat arrivals/departures! ‍ Charleston is one of the top destination wedding cities in the world, and at The Island House weddings are our specialty. There are not many places in Charleston where you can get authentic waterfront pictures of your big day surrounded by the nature of the Lowcountry, but untouched by development of the city. Also, The Island House has hosted numerous birthday parties, fundraisers, oyster roasts, Rehearsal Dinners, family reunions, and more.
