The Greenwood, Southern Hotel’s newest event space, recently redesigned to honor the property’s natural elegance and deeply rooted history. A former Benedictine Convent, The Greenwood is nestled in a magnificent grove of centuries-old live oaks and lush flora native to South Louisiana. This beautiful venue is 3 miles from Southern Hotel and features the aromatic beauty of the Jasmine Courtyard, the Grand Oaks Ballroom, and the Acorn Room and Terrace. A stunning 400-year-old live oak stands tall in the heart of the preserved historic grounds. The original bell tower and limestone grotto remain unchanged as well as the Italian marble throughout the interior. With the high standards of excellence and historical elegance of the Southern Hotel, we have reopened the doors to this stunning venue and welcome you to The Greenwood.

- What is included in the venue rental cost?

- Does the venue have any décor restrictions?
- We welcome decorations, such as flowers, candles and lighting. We do not allow anything to be applied to the walls or buildings that will cause damage. If you choose to use candles, we require they be in containers to prevent damage to services or linens. Please no glitter or confetti.
- Does the venue offer on-site catering options?
- With the exception of wedding cake, we do not allow outside food or beverage to be brought in.
