Weddings With a capacity of 160 for a plated dinner or 225 for a cocktail reception, the Grand Ballroom's beautiful crystal chandeliers, pressed tin ceiling, and French doors add charm and elegance to any wedding. This 2,500 square foot ballroom, which has been restored to its 19th-century beauty, was home to McKinney's first Opera House from 1885 to 1923. The Grand Ballroom is an excellent choice for your reception and can also serve as a setting for your wedding ceremony. Any bride and groom can create a night to remember when they have the choice of reserving the full hotel. Meetings Three private dining rooms total 4,100 square feet of meeting and event space on the property. Rick's Chophouse provides onsite food and full-service event personnel for all events. The Grand Ballroom The Grand Ballroom is located on the Grand Hotel's second story. Crystal chandeliers, original exposed brick walls, and pressed tin ceilings adorn this stunning 2,500 square foot space. Hand scraped hard wood floors, bench seating, and antique mirrors have just been added to the space. Up to 150 people can be seated, or up to 200 people can be served during a cocktail reception. Rick's 110 Our private dining and conference space, Rick's 110, has its own access through our foyer. This versatile venue can seat 60 people for supper, 80 people for a cocktail reception, or 30 people for a presentation type event. With floor to ceiling mahogany wood walls, climate controlled wine shelves, a private restroom, a private bar, and six commissioned paintings reflecting McKinney's heritage, Rick's 110 offers solitude and luxury. Wine Room Our international wine list is housed in floor-to-ceiling wood racks in the Wine Room. This private space can accommodate up to 12 people for a conference or up to 34 people for a seated supper and is also a working wine room. Library The Library is surrounded with cookbooks that are favorites of the owners of Rick's Chophouse. This inviting area can accommodate 14 people for a conference or up to 28 people for a seated dining event.
