Our family has been taming the untamed regions of Texas for for 200 years in Houston and the neighboring areas. We excelled in the local cattle markets during the peak of the cowboy era in the late 1800s and early 1900s, and places like Sealy and Willis were named after our pioneering family. The mansion in Galveston was built by our great-great-grandmother (now known as the Moody mansion). Then her daughter, our great grandmother, traveled to Montgomery to marry the man she loved, Stump Martin, a cowboy. They erected “The Big House,” a gorgeous estate with a Grand Hall to welcome guests and dignitaries from all around the world. Many things have changed in the last century, but our roots in Montgomery, Texas, remain strong. We designed the Grand Hall to celebrate our proud Texas heritage by evoking the grandeur of a bygone era. Over 20 vintage chandeliers, reclaimed shiplap, ornamental tin, and a stone fireplace evoke old world elegance while while bringing a touch of current Texas spirit to the space.
