The front columns, which are made of Vermont granite and are two storeys tall, are a focal point. The gateway roof is supported by the columns, and the entablature that surrounds the roof is basic in design. The porch is reached through a set of wide stairs, with built-in benches flanking either side. The massive double doors with patterned beveled glass are a thing of breathtaking beauty.
