About The Boxyard

The Boxyard is SODO's premier pre and postgame destination and private events venue. This complex is home to Victory Hall & The Yard, Hatback Bar & Grille, and Steelheads Alley. Victory Hall, our 9,500 square foot event space, dons the original 1914 building's brick walls and exposed wood beams, and is available to rent for corporate events, weddings and more. Victory Hall also transforms into an indoor beer garden during game days and a venue for a variety of public events including concerts, watch parties, and community celebrations. Before Mariners, Seahawks, and Sounders games, the seasonal beer garden is open and features a mix of local food trucks, cold beer and outdoor games for friends, family and sports fans. The Yard is also available for private events in conjunction with Victory Hall. Hatback Bar & Grille is the city's premier year round dining, brewing, and sports entertainment destination. It is inspired by the rich sports history in the PNW and pays tribute to the Mariners with a nod to one of Seattle's greatest athletes, Ken Griffey Jr. Two private dining rooms are available within Hatback for groups up to 100 guests. Led by Rodney Hines of Seattle's Metier Brewing Company, Steelheads Alley offers tank to table craft beers and classic bar fare. Steelheads Alley is named after the 1946 Seattle Steelheads Negro League baseball team, honoring the rich and diverse sports history of baseball and softball in the Pacific Northwest.

    The venue spaces within the Boxyard are all unique in terms of style of event, presentation, size, and atmosphere, so there is a space for everyone. With private dining rooms to host as few as 20 guests up to 3300 guests for a full building buyout, we create custom quotes for each event, determining the best space for you and your guests to create an experience as unique as your friends, family, or organization.

Does the venue offer on-site catering options?
Our catering is curated fully in-house! With specialized catering menus for each of our event spaces, you have plenty of options to create a unique experience for your guests. Our Chef also loves creating menus tailored to your event - ask your event manager about custom menu options!
Does the venue have a liquor license?
Yes! All alcohol for private events is purchased through and served by the Boxyard. We provide a variety of local brews, wines, and liquor options for your event. Upgraded options are available upon request. All bartenders are MAST permitted and trained to provide safe and efficient service.
How much does it cost to rent the venue?
All of our spaces have food & beverage minimum requirements, and Victory Hall + The Yard require room rentals. These rental fees and food & beverage minimums depend on the space, the date, and the time of day of your event. Inquire with your sales contact for a custom quote.
Does the venue have on-site A/V equipment?
Victory Hall is equipped with state of the art audio-visual equipment, including a 23' screen in the North Hall and six 100" screens in the South Hall, speakers, microphones, and camera capabilities. Steelheads Alley and Hatback Bar & Grille have screens available upon request.
Is there a venue coordinator available to help with event logistics?
Our Sales Director will work with you through the planning process to create your menu & timeline. Our Ops Director will work with you on rentals such as tables & chairs, floor plan, and day-of execution of the venue/catering logistics. We are not event planners, but would love to recommend one!

With over 10 years of events experience, Casey has worked across the industry producing large international conferences, high-end corporate events, luxury social events, and more. She holds a B.S. in Recreation & Event Management from the University of Florida and an M.S. in Hospitality & Tourism Management from the University of Central Florida. She also serves on the board of Seattle NACE, the Seattle Chapter of the National Association for Catering and Events.
