What is the venue capacity?
The Art Institute of Chicago has a variety of spaces that can accommodate micro-size, mid-size to larger-scale dinner receptions that include multiple spaces in either the Modern Wing or the Historical Wing. Based on your vision, we'll guide you through all your guest experience options.
How much does it cost to rent the venue?
On average, The Art Institute of Chicago's room rentals varies from $10,000 to $25,000. Wedding events will typically include a combination of 2 or 3 spaces to create a stellar guest journey from an onsite ceremony, cocktail hour to the dinner party.
Does the venue have an approved or preferred vendor list?
The Art Institute works with six exclusive catering partners, Blue Plate, Food For Thought, Paramount, Limelight, Levy, and Boka. All other vendors are hired at your discretion, though we are happy to provide some recommendations.
Does the venue have any décor restrictions?
For the safety of the art pieces at the museum, we do not permit any aerosol, flame, or organic matter that may harbor pests and damage works of art.
Is the venue handicap accessible?
As we are a museum, all of our spaces are ADA accessible.
