Megobrebo! (Dear Friends!) Welcome to Tabla, DC’s first and second with Supra being our sister restaurant (and only) Georgian restaurants. As no less a chef than Rene Redzepi put it a few years ago, Georgian is the last great undiscovered cuisine in Europe. He was right then, but it’s no longer ‘undiscovered.’ In 2017, we opened Supra at 11th and M, and it’s been a big hit, bringing cheesy khachapuri, soup filled ‘khinkali’ dumplings, and Georgia’s many veggie options to DC diners. We also have the largest Georgian wine list outside the country – Georgia being the world’s oldest wine culture – and the first Georgian craft beers to reach the States. We opened Tabla in 2020 in the Park View/Petworth area, bringing a more-casual vibe to the décor (Georgian street artist ‘LAMB’ did the interior paintings and other artwork) and taking a few more liberties with the menu (still Georgian, but some dishes are not completely traditional).
