Sanctuary MiMo transforms a forgotten landmark in the hip Upper East Side into a stunning multi-use event and garden utopia for those who imagine the extraordinary. Located in the Miami Modernist Architecture Historic District (Mimo), Sanctuary MiMo unveils over 14,000 square feet of versatility for all occasions. A shapeshifter of design, this nuanced vision is by Simone Mayer. Ms. Mayer, Co-Founder, CEO, and Chief Creative Officer of FOH, a worldwide award-winning foodservice and hospitality manufacturing innovator including brands such as Front of the House and room360. Keeping the theme of female leadership, Sanctuary MiMo has a women-led team that includes four decades of combined event experience. Ms. Mayer is a powerful force sustaining MiMo architecture and history. She believes in preserving rather than replacing. Her inspired vision created a blueprint to save a church, yet another previous sanctuary for the community. Spanning five years and five million dollars ($5M) in renovation costs, Sanctuary MiMo is what Miami has been waiting for. Sanctuary MiMo’s dramatic entrance welcomes guests into a stunning gathering area that reveals the grand sanctuary hall with soaring 38-foot cathedral ceilings, neutral backdrops, and access to two outdoor gardens. Versatile VIP studios are perfectly outfitted as greenrooms or private styling suites. The second-floor mezzanine overlooks the grand hall and includes one of the VIP suites including an ensuite bathroom. Another second level via an additional staircase from the grand hall offers a beautiful meeting, photography, or wellness retreat with soaring ceilings and exposed beams bathed in natural light. Adjacent to the grand hall is Sanctuary MiMo’s state-of-the-art culinary exhibition kitchen, which features top-tier appliances and food prep stations. DoLab, a perfect space for intimate cocktails, private dining, or restaurant pop-ups, flows into one of the two large outdoor gardens.
