About Salomon Farm Park
Salomon Farm Park was launched as a public city park in 1996 through the generous donation of land by Chris Salomon, his wife Maxine, and their daughter Lynne. The three Salomons discussed and conceived - perhaps twenty years earlier - the potential of their beautiful landmark farm becoming a historic working farm and city park for others to experience. With the assistance and grateful acceptance of the Fort Wayne Board of Park Commissioners and the Parks and Recreation Department, the Salomon family wishes have come true. Salomon Farm Park is a true historic gem and a perfect location for your special event. We have two large rental facilities - the Historic Old Barn (capacity 170) and the Wolf Family Learning Center (capacity 150), and three smaller rental spaces - the North Garden *New in 2024* for ceremonies, rehearsal dinners, proposals, etc. (capacity 150), the Historic Salomon Family Homestead (capacity 25), primitive open space by our Covered Bridge (capacity 50), and North Garden (capacity 150) all available for rent! We also offer other rental add-ons such as additional rental time, a wagon ride, an animal interaction with nearby animals, event arches, and rustic farm tables and chairs. The historic Old Barn is available April through early November, is not climate-controlled (no AC/heat), has a capacity of 170, is ADA accessible, including nearby restrooms, and provides tables and chairs, which are included in rental fee, but must stay indoors. All events in the Old Barn must be catered by one of our exclusive vendors, and all alcohol must be brought in and served by one of our exclusive beverage vendors. Security is required at your Old Barn event. Ample parking is available. Guests at your event are encouraged to enjoy the surrounding farm animals - goats, pigs, mini Highland cows, Valais black-nose sheep, mini horse, chickens, and more, plenty of greenspace as well as wetlands, and the simplicity of a farm. Please check out our other rental spaces - the Wolf Family Center (capacity 150, climate-controlled, full kitchen), the North Garden *New in 2024* (capacity 150), the Salomon Homestead, our Covered Bridge Open Space, and more. Lots of rental options for your special event! Salomon Farm Park is located on the north side of Fort Wayne and is the only farm park in the city of Fort Wayne Parks Department. - How much does it cost to rent the venue?
- Great question! This varies because we have a couple of venues - the historic Old Barn (8-hour rental starting at $1,200), the Salomon Family Homestead (6-hour rental starting at $200), the Wolf Family Center (6-hour rental $375), our Covered Bridge Open Space (2-hour rental starting at $100), etc.
- What is included in the venue rental cost?
- Tables and chairs are included in the rental cost, along with a historic and/or modern venue space, ADA accessibility for the Old Barn, Homestead, and Wolf Family Center venues, climate-controlled venue space for the Homestead and Wolf Family Center, and more. Just ask!
- What is the venue refund or cancellation policy?
- Six (6) or more months prior to an event – A full refund minus 20% of the initial deposit. Less than Six (6) months prior to the event – No refund UNLESS equal booking is attained. Above penalties apply. This applies to the North Flower Garden Space and the Covered Bridge Space Outdoor Rental.

- Old Barn - capacity 170, Salomon Farm Homestead - capacity 25, Wolf Family Center - capacity 150, Covered Bridge Open Space - capacity 50, and North Garden - capacity 150.
