République, located in the heart of Los Angeles, is owned by Chef Walter Manzke and Chef Margarita Manzke. République offers a full service off-site catering company by Walter and Margarita Manzke. Whether you are having an intimate dinner or a large scale event, Manzke Events & Catering will create a customized culinary experience, and will bring the restaurant to your event. The iconic République building was built in 1929 as Charlie Chaplin's offices, and was eventually transformed into La Brea Bakery and Campanile. Now home to République, the building offers a gastronomic environment of history and grandeur to the public, featuring open kitchens, a charcuterie counter and raw bar, and a bakery. The space has been restored with original fixtures, period lighting, bar stools, and reclaimed wood tables with materials from the same decade the building was originally erected, while preserving and highlighting the architecture from the 1920's structure. République's unique space provides many different options for private and semi-private dining. Their many available event spaces include: The Left Bank Wine Room, The Right Bank Mezzanine Room, The Bakery, The Kitchen Tables, The Bar, The Alcove, The Dining Room, and is available for a full restaurant buyout as well. République can host both intimate and large events, and provides exquisite cuisine that will be the highlight of any occasion.
