Punakea Palms

Punakea Palms is a family-owned and run coconut orchard in the West Maui foothills. Through instructive and participatory tours of our everyday operations, we promote natural farming and coconut information. Our efforts are aimed at nurturing and raising community awareness about this miraculous plant. We planted approximately 250 sprouting coconuts 12 years ago, and they are now fully mature fruit bearing trees. With over 300 days of sunshine per year, Maui's environment provides some of the best growing conditions for coconut palms in the world. Coconut trees bear fruit all year, and these conditions provide our farm with a potential annual production of approximately 10,000 nuts. We propagate a variety of native tropical plants and fruits in addition to the coconut palms. Bananas, papayas, avocados, mangos, pineapples, and sugar cane, as well as an exotic citrus grove, grow abundantly on the land. We're a friendly coconut farm in your area.
