ABOUT Mission Navy Yard is a bustling bar and restaurant located across the street from Nationals Park and three blocks from Audi Field in Washington, DC. When we first opened our doors in July 2018, we were excited to provide a lively bar scene, daily happy hour, spacious private event and outdoor spaces, and delectable Tex-Mex cuisine. Since 2014, our sister restaurant, Mission Dupont, has been serving up a mean margarita and some seriously tasty tacos. The goal of our restaurant is to provide a bustling bar scene, comfortable dining, and versatile private event spaces that can accommodate groups of all sizes, and we refuse to believe that a restaurant can serve only one purpose. Our spaces are designed to be welcoming for brunch, happy hour, dinner, and private events, as well as for those looking to unwind in a vibrant weekend late-night atmosphere on Saturday and Sunday nights. On Friday and Saturday nights, after dinner and game watching have concluded, we welcome some of the best DJs in the city to keep the party going until the wee hours of the morning. Located in a two-story atrium with the feel of an outdoor courtyard, the first of our four bars is the perfect place to start your night. A two-story tower with a view of the plaza bar is surrounded by a long and winding staircase. The second level is anchored by DC's largest bar, which measures 150 feet in length and is flanked by six garage doors that open onto large outdoor balconies. The main dining room, which includes a bar and balconies, is located on the second floor as well as the bar. The fourth bar in the restaurant is located in a private dining and event space. We strive to provide a welcoming environment for groups of all sizes, budgets, and types, ranging from small 15-person birthday parties to large-scale corporate buyouts and retreats. A variety of events can be held at the venue, including birthday parties, alumni functions, late-night wedding after-parties, corporate receptions, fund-raising events and group brunches and dinner events, among other things.
