The vast Magnolia Terrace, located just east of the blue-and-white palace, is Maple Lawn's crowning achievement. It is a true jewel in the crown of the garden. Following a winding path through an ornate iron gate, the first thing that meets you is a profusion of brightly colored, blossoming hedges. A elevated, canopied patio lies just ahead, and going out beyond it is a wonderfully beautiful grass, which is flanked on three sides by mature magnolia and camellia trees, which adds to the tranquility of the setting. A wide brick promenade runs right through the center of the field, and it is embellished with two multitiered fountains, each of which is crowned with dramatic statues of Greek goddesses.
