Longman & Eagle is a modern spin on a traditional Chicago inn, located in the Logan Square district of Chicago, USA, and offering thoughtful, imaginative drinking, eating, and sleeping alternatives. Longman & Eagle has a variety of private dining options for seated dinners, brunches, and cocktail gatherings. Whiskey tasting programs with a guide are also available: - Groups of 10 to 20 people - Tastings run Tuesday through Thursday - Rare bottles, L&E favorites, and whiskey essentials are all available for tasting. Much of the city's early social life focused on establishments like The Eagle, The Green Tree, and The Sauganash, and the history here is both colorful and rich. Longman & Eagle is a look back, recreating an age-old concept through a contemporary lens, providing a shelter that appeals to a multitude of senses - be they aesthetic, consumptive, culinary, or restorative - in a way that is approachable, deliberate, and imaginative. It's the kind of establishment where a man might get a shot with breakfast, where local officials could trade votes for whiskey, and where the diversity of Chicago's neighborhoods is reflected. Bars, inns, pubs, and saloons were the primary community centers of their age in Chicago, where the provision of drink, food, and lodging provided patrons and travelers with a feeling of place that was accessible, inviting, and appealing to people of all classes, rich and poor. Longman & Eagle is an attempt to recapture the same spirit, delving into the essence of one of the world's most beautiful cities.
