The light filled two-level atelier overlooking historic Michigan Ave and Grant Park features an open floorplan, custom bar and a modern design; the perfect setting for your special day. When you choose to host your event at LM Studio our in-house caterer, LM Catering & Events, will handle all of your food and beverage needs. Their culinary team of experts will work with you to build your menu using only the freshest and most seasonal ingredients. LM Catering & Events is the team people turn to when they want a different take on catering. We’re cool and artsy and we show people how to think outside the ballroom. Our customers love us because on the one hand we’re a touch unconventional, but on the other we’re completely professional. We pay attention to every last detail.

- Does the venue offer on-site catering options?
- Yes, LM Catering & Events is our exclusive caterer. However, we are pleased to work exclusively India House for all Indian specialty menus. Please talk with a member of our sales team regarding details.
- Does your venue have on-site parking available for guests?
- We do not have on-site parking available however, we recommend the East-West Garage at 801 S. Wabash (entrance on 8th St.) which can be accessed using the Reef app or using SpotHero to find other available spaces. We are also happy to set up valet services for your event.
- Does the venue have an approved or preferred vendor list?
- We do have a list of preferred vendors which can be found here: https://www.lmstudiochicago.com/vendors Outside vendors are permitted however, all vendors need to have the appropriate licenses, must be pre-approved by our events team and must participate in a venue walk-through prior to the event.
- Does the venue have any décor restrictions?
- Yes, candles are allowed but they will need to be contained in a vessel of some sort. We do not allow tapered candles and open flames are not allowed anywhere in the building. Sparklers, smoke machines and similar items are not allowed.
- Is the venue handicap accessible?
- Yes, LM Studio is ADA compliant.
Meet The Team
Gabi Dorsch
Director of Catering Sales & Operations, LM Catering & EventsHospitality runs in Gabi’s blood; she was born and raised in Germany and by the age of 11 was already working in the kitchen at her Aunt’s restaurants. Gabi began her formal professional career at the Hotel Dorint in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Looking for a change of scenery, Gabi found her way to Chicago after roles in the Canary Islands and Spain (where she owned a restaurant near the port of Empuriabrava in Catalonia)! Gabi worked with a wide variety of renowned restaurants before heading to LM.
