New Orleans' Lafitte Hotel & Bar is a boutique hotel located on the corner of Bourbon and St. Phillip Streets, in the residential end of the city's famous and historic French Quarter, near the French Quarter Museum. Our location provides visitors with the ideal starting point from which to take in the sights and sounds of Bourbon Street, while also providing them with the opportunity to return to their own serene French Quarter retreat at the end of each day of adventure. The Lafitte Hotel & Bar has a long and illustrious history that dates back to 1849 when it was a private residence of the Galieses family. It was only a century ago that the mansion was transformed into a hotel, and it now boasts 14 beautifully appointed rooms, each with its own bathroom and many with their own balconies. All of our guest rooms are spacious and individually decorated with antiques and works of art from New Orleans and other places. The house also has several shared balconies, which allow all of our guests to take in the breathtaking views of Bourbon Street and downtown New Orleans that the house has to offer. Living at Lafitte Hotel & Bar will be similar to living in a private French Quarter residence, with the added benefit of a variety of amenities.
