Pellegrino Artusi (1820-1911) and his self-published cookbook La Scienza in Cucina e L'Arte di Mangiare Bene are honored at L'Artusi, which opened in December 2008. (The Science of Cookery and the Art of Eating Well). L'Artusi combines comfort and innovation in a modern take on traditional Italian cuisine. Our wine list is primarily Italian, and is organized by area with a map showing DOCs and DOCGs, as well as traditional local meals, to assist demystify Italy, the world's most diversified viticultural nation. Our 110-seat restaurant has two levels of comfy banquette seating, an extended classic bar, a cheese bar, and a chef's counter with an open view of the kitchen. L'Artusi can accommodate groups of 10 to 110 people in its intimate wine room, second-floor mezzanine, or entire restaurant, making it ideal for business dinners, social gatherings, celebrations and showers, and a variety of other events. For dinner or brunch, our private Wine Cellar can seat up to 14 people, while the above mezzanine can seat up to 50 people for cocktails and seated events. Private parties can be held in the entire restaurant during the day or evening, with full use of the area for up to 110 persons. Welcome your visitors to a one-of-a-kind experience in our Private Wine Room, which is surrounded by 2,000 bottles of expertly selected Italian wines. Early sitting begins at 6 p.m., late seating begins at 9:30 p.m., or the entire night can be reserved in the Private Wine Room. Based on our seasonal menu, our Director of Private Dining collaborates with you to create a sharing-style menu. Minimum food and beverage orders are required.
