About Howard P. Rawlings Conservatory
Howard P. Rawlings Conservatory is considered one of Baltimore's prized institutions. Showcasing plants from all over the world, this venue offers year-round greenery and an intimate, magical feel for any event. **** In April 2026, prep work for a large restoration project will begin. Opportunities for photography shoots and elopements may still be available, however, full reservation will not be accepted until the project is complete. Please check back in Jan 2027, for summer 2027 reservations. . **** South Pavilion: During the day, the South Pavilion is available for small, intimate rentals ranging from business and community meetings to baby showers and intimate elopements. The South Pavilion is easily accessible by caterers and guests. A built-in bar with a three-compartment sink and mini-fridge is accessible to clients. Whole Conservatory: In the evening, clients can rent the whole Conservatory including the North and South Pavilions, the Orchid Room, Palm, Tropical, Mediterranean, and Desert Houses. Typical set-up includes seating in the North Pavilion, cocktail tables and food stations in the greenhouses, with the bar, music, and dancing in the South Pavilion. All facilities are wheelchair accessible.

Our facilities may be booked 60-366 days in advance. Multiple locations may be added to a single package. Minimum rates may still apply. Indoor rentals include tables and chairs (set-up/break-down not included). Weddings include one-hour rehearsal (must be booked 60 days ahead of time during regular business hours with the Rental Team) and a photo permit giving access to the grounds during the rental period. Elopement Package
Our elopement package includes 1-hour, private use of facility or space; limited hours available. Pricing varies depending on day of the week. It is limited to 35 guests (not including the officiant, or photographer) and must be standing ceremony only -- with exceptions made for those with special needs. Limited décor permitted however it must receive prior approval from the Rental Coordinator.

- What is your alcohol policy?
- All alcoholic beverages must be poured by a licensed and insured caterer or certified and insured bartender.
- Does the venue have a curfew for events?
- Yes. All guests must exit by 11 AM and all vendors must exit by midnight.
- How much does it cost to rent the venue?

- What is the venue capacity?
- The Rawlings Conservatory has a capacity of 60 inside, and 100 tented outside.
- Does the venue have an approved or preferred vendor list?
