About A space rich with history, Historic Hudson Studios is a photo/film studio and event venue located in Hollywood, California. Situated in the heart of LaLa Land and steeped in the creative spirit of the city, this stunning destination with multiple fully-equipped kitchens is a perfect choice for a variety of events from corporate, brand/experiential marketing, gifting suites, film screenings, art exhibitions, yoga/fitness, private dinner parties to engagement parties, baby showers, and weddings. The two main spaces feature a solid wood bowstring trussed roof sitting overtop 18-foot ceilings, original exposed brick walls and enormous industrial windows. A true cultural icon in the heart of Hollywood’s Theater District, you and your guests are sure to feel the brilliantly charged energy of Historic Hudson Studios when you step through the doors and feel the flood of natural light. Facilities and Capacity Historic Hudson Studios offers two main event spaces plus 6 smaller rooms that can be arranged in a variety of configurations to perfectly accommodate your unique event. Within our two 3,000 and 6,000 sq foot spaces, Historic Hudson Studios has 4 full professional kitchens available, a hair and makeup room, and several other rooms that can be customized to each event specifications. It is also possible to connect both main venues and the foyer for a combined space of 10,000 sq feet. The full space can comfortably accommodate up to 150 people seated or 200 standing. The HHS West studio space accommodates up to 60 guests, 45 seated, 60 standing. All studio spaces have high-speed WiFi, Sonos surround sound, 100 amps of power, at least 17 ft high ceilings, are air conditioned, and have full blackout capability. Services Offered Clients are free to create the event of their dreams in this unique Hollywood venue. Historic Hudson Studios has an in-house events team that will help each event host from planning to event day. HHS has a list of trusted catering and bar agency, florists, event stylists, and planner partners. HHS also welcomes outside vendors, and empowers event planners to use their trusted network to enhance the event experience. Historic Hudson Studios is pet-friendly. Feel free to include your furry family members in your event! In the middle of the big city, parking can be a little tricky. HHS is pleased to be able to offer you either valet or parking garage and shuttle packages to get your guests in the door as seamlessly as possible. History Built in 1948, this historic building is an industrial gem of the early studio era in Hollywood. Smack in the center of the Theater District, creatives of all kinds have flocked here over the years, making it an epicenter of artistry and imagination. Historic Hudson Studios has played host to theater companies, dance companies, and film production offices, not to mention photographers, film makers, painters, and more. Legendary photographer Herb Ritts even shot his iconic portraits of Madonna, Jack Nicholson, and David Bowie in his second-floor studio right across the hall from our venue.
