Located in Maricopa County, Arizona, just west of the Phoenix metropolitan area, Hidden Lake is a private outdoor recreation destination that spans 120 acres and offers a variety of activities. It features more than 60 acres of trophy fishing waters, as well as a stunning wedding location, a private event center, and a venue for live music. We provide a wide range of healthy, active, and outdoor entertainment options for people of all ages, and we are surrounded by thousands of acres of protected riparian area. Hidden Lake is dedicated to maintaining a safe and clean environment for serious anglers, nature lovers, and families to enjoy while other lakes, rivers, and recreational sites in the surrounding area are being negatively impacted by our state's rapidly increasing population. ​ Richard and Jennifer Mladick, longtime residents of the valley who enjoy spending time outdoors, bought the property in the year 2016. Hidden Lake had developed into a garbage dump for the community and had become a popular location for illegal target practice and hunting, much to the dismay of the couple. The parents of four decided to stop using the lake property and instead focus their energy on rehabilitating the habitat and cleaning up the surrounding area. Their goals were to launch a new movement, promote unplugging from technology, reconnect people with nature, and develop a one-of-a-kind gathering spot for families to spend quality time together. ​ To this day, the Mladick family has cleared more than two hundred and fifty tons of trash, planted more than two hundred and fifty native trees, and installed barriers to prevent trespassers and poachers from despoiling the breathtaking land. Today, restoration efforts are still ongoing all around the property, but their work to reestablish the environment has already been successful. Visitors to the property may see a variety of animals, and at any given time, more than 100 species of birds make Hidden Lake their home.
