About Heritage Farmstead Museum
WE WELCOME TO THE Heritage Farmstead Museum, which is located in Plano, Texas. The Heritage Farmstead Museum (HFM) is the main living history site in North Texas portraying the Texas Blackland Prairie region. It is located on a working farm. The HFM, which is certified by the American Alliance of Museums, aspires to provide a glimpse into the past for individuals of all ages, interests, and origins. The museum is a public service institution, and it is held responsible to the public by government, self-imposed, and peer-imposed rules and regulations. The mission of the Heritage Farmstead Museum is to collect, conserve, and explain the history of the Blackland Prairie during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries while making proper use of the authentically restored Farrell-Wilson Farmstead, which is a recognized historic site.
