The lovely Heritage County park, located near San Diego's Old Town, contains several restored Victorian homes as well as the city's earliest synagogue, The Temple Beth Israel. The park is an excellent example of rich San Diego citizens' Victorian architecture from the late 1880s and early 1890s. Weddings, parties, and Bar Mitzvahs are currently held in Temple Beth Israel. The big lawn is still open to the public and can be used for special events.
