Gadabout

We feel that street food is the gastronomic essence of a city's culture here at Gadabout. Rolf and Meagan Pedersen, who run the restaurant, draw inspiration from all over the world to make upgraded, non-traditional street food. The essence of our cuisine, which reflects a careful convergence of cultures, a celebration of Chicago's rich diversity, and a sense of approachable adventure, is the word "gadabout," which means a regular, pleasure-seeking global traveler. Through the use of robust flavors and local products, our food attempts to generate a sense of lighthearted nostalgia. The cocktail menu features small-batch spirits in vivid drinks, as well as a variety of vintage sodas. Our goal is to create a dynamic list of sustainable practices at our restaurant and in the community as a whole. To reduce our carbon footprint and give you the greatest and freshest products available, we acquire produce and proteins from local farms whenever possible. We’re lucky enough to have a great space available for parties of any size - up to a hundred people.
