The James Beard Foundation Award-winning concept for Frasca Food and Wine was developed by partners Bobby Stuckey, Lachlan Mackinnon-Patterson, and Peter Hoglund. Frasca Food and Wine welcomes guests every night with warm hospitality, exquisite cuisine, and carefully selected wines. The restaurant is steeped in the food and wine traditions of the northeastern region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia. Northeastern Italy's sub-alpine region is called Friuli-Venezia Giulia. It is a region of tremendous cultural blending, geographical diversity, and beautiful beauty that is surrounded by Austria, Slovenia, and the Adriatic Sea and situated at the foot of the Carnic and Julian Alps. The local frasca plays a significant role in the Friulano culinary tradition. The frascas, which were once common throughout Friuli, were warm and informal gathering places where farmers, friends, and families would congregate for a meal and a bottle of wine. They could be recognized by a tree branch dangling over a doorway portal, and they stood for regional farm food, wine, and friendly hospitality. The branch would begin to wither and change color as the harvest neared its conclusion, signaling the end of the growing season. After then, the frascas would shut their doors until the following year. Imagination and careful planning are the foundation of memorable occasions. It had previously been known as Frasca's Bar. The Taverna Room, a completely private dining area next to Frasca's main dining room, is ideal for intimate celebrations or business dinners with presentations. We can devote our complete staff to your evening's event thanks to an exclusive buyout of Frasca Food and Wine. For a seated supper, our entire restaurant can accommodate up to 60 people.
