Esters Wine Shop & Bar

As a member of the Rustic Canyon Family, Esters is a partnership between restaurateurs Josh Loeb & Zoe Nathan and the group’s Wine Director Kathryn Coker and her husband, Tug. It’s a cozy, yet stylish, Santa Monica wine shop and bar where you can come for a glass of champagne and a meal, buy a special bottle for a friend, stock your wine cellar or all of the above. Tucked inside a beautifully refurbished 1937 Art Deco building, their retail area features floor to ceiling racks of wine focused on smaller producers (whose stories they know and love) as well as a separate room for high-end finds to add to your private collection. Esters offers a full menu for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch that changes seasonally, with a delicious array of meats and cheeses curated by our “little kitchen that could.” Executive Chef Jessica Liu-He and the culinary team are committed to sourcing local fish, meats from high-quality producers, and they make as much as possible in house. Grab-n-Go options include house-made sandwiches, loaves of fresh baked bread from sister restaurant Milo & Olive, and a handful of specialty products from friends and suppliers whose work inspires us. Join them at their bar or on their patio for a bite to eat and a great of glass wine, classic stirred cocktail or artisanal beer.
