The dedication to quality at Clinton Hall begins with the SupercraftTM beer program. Following closely behind is a lot of fun and NYC's best burger! Clinton Hall's rustic and modest 4,000 square foot beer hall is situated back somewhat from the street at the corners of Rector and Washington in the bustling downtown Financial District, just a few short streets from the site of the freshly restored World Trade Center. The interior and outdoor rooms are connected by a series of glass doors that lead into the courtyard. Guests may sit at the 20-seat Carrara marble bar, which is flanked by reclaimed brick and wood walls recovered from Upstate New York and Pennsylvania farms, or drink with friends at communal tables and benches, which are all softly lighted by handcrafted light fixtures and naked Edison bulbs. Clinton Hall features a rotating range of 20 draught beers and ciders from the United States, Belgium, Germany, Scandinavia, and beyond, ranging from cask ales to keg-conditioned ales and lagers. All suds are delivered at a properly calibrated 34 degrees, every time, thanks to an on-site flux capacitor that calibrates nitrogen and carbon dioxide and regulates compression of each particular beer to the Brew Masters requirements. To alter their sampling experience, guests can order pints, half-pints, or thirds-of-pints of this unique and diversified craft brew excursion. A complete bar is also available, with seasonal wines-by-the-glass options. A pleasant, engaging, and educated waitstaff serves a full lunch, brunch, and dinner menu to complement the ever-changing beverage choices. The gourmet take on classic beer hall fare includes a wide variety of bratwurst and sausages served on homemade pretzel buns with inventive homemade sides like rosemary-parmesan pommes frites, a trademark shortrib burger, and Wit Bier-steamed Prince Edward Island Mussels. The venue, which was designed by Walsh Walsh Studio, an architecture and design firm founded in 2009 by Victoria Partridge Walsh, is a joint venture between Merchants Hospitality, a full-service hospitality company behind the brands SouthWest NY, Merchants NY, Merchants Cigar Bar, Neelys Barbecue Parlor, Merchants River House, Quality Burger, Pound and Pence Pub & Restaurant, Oaxaca Mexican Grill, and most recently Black Hound, among others, and The Lure Group,
