Choctaw Stadium

Arlington, Texas, has been the home of the Texas Rangers for more than 25 years and is a mecca for baseball and events that are as massive as the Lone Star State. Choctaw Stadium, for example, demonstrates this. With approximately 48,000 open-air seating, this 270-acre multi-purpose stadium has been the home of the Texas Rangers baseball team since 1994 and has hosted two World Series games as well as the 1995 All-Star Game. Designed to honor the rich legacy of baseball in America, Choctaw Stadium combines state-of-the-art comforts with a nod to the past in its construction. It was decided in 2020 to rearrange the original Choctaw Stadium plan so that it could also be used as a football and soccer stadium. The park's exterior is comprised of granite and brick, with a home run porch in right field and an asymmetrical playing field, which is a frequent feature of ballparks built during the first half of the twentieth century. The playing field is made of actual grass, namely Tifway 419 turf, which is lush and luxurious. And, of course, the Lone Star, a symbol of Texan pride, is prominently displayed on the park's exterior and interior, as well as on its signage.
