130 Bowery will be an event venue in an iconic New York City landmark starting January 1st 2024. The building was designed by renowned architect, Stanford White in 1895. Supported by Roman classic architecture, 130 Bowery's ornate coved ceiling and jewel toned stained-glass skylight have been restored to their original Beaux Arts splendor, creating a one-of-a-kind backdrop for star-studded events, glamorous weddings, and stunning galas. The space features colossal corinthian columns, venetian glass, mosaic marble floors, and 65-feet vaulted ceilings. The iconic venue’s 16,000 square foot space is not only impressive in size, but also in structure and design. It is comprised of a Grand Foyer, Grand Ballroom, a Parlor and a Lounge. Capitale has been run as an event space for 20+ years and Saga Hospitality Group (the team behind SAGA, Crown Shy and Overstory) will take over in 2024. It will then be operated by Michelin starred chef Jamal “James" Kent.
