Borasso Spirits - celebrating the flavors of South Louisiana! Owner and head distiller Ewan Willey founded Borasso Spirits in 2017 after years of experience in Louisiana’s shipping industry. He used shipping principles to devise his distilling process, citing in both processes similar methods by which water, fuel and chemicals are moved. Borasso’s uniquely crafted liquors (rum, gin, vodka and absinthe) use hyperlocal ingredients harvested from right here in Louisiana, celebrate the flavors (and the stories!) of the Gulf South and beyond. The distillery features a tasting room with extraordinary relics of New Orleans history, including colorful set pieces once used in TV/film and theatre sets, and antique papier-mache Mardi Gras float pieces from as early as the 1940s!
