Soon after being built in 1926, the historic Aragon Ballroom was quickly touted “the most beautiful ballroom in the world,” with its breathtaking architecture and ornate design. At an original cost of $2 million, it was one of the most elaborate venues of its time and the apple of Chicago’s eye, adorned with crystal chandeliers, a stunning, celestial ceiling in the main theater, spectacular arches, terra-cotta ceilings and lavish balconies. As one of the most respected rock venues in the country, the Aragon stage has been called home by scores of legends including Metallica, Smashing Pumpkins, Steve Miller Band and Nine Inch Nails. The ballroom itself can accommodate 3,224 standing guests for your next function with a balcony occupancy of 1,350. The gorgeous, expansive lobby is the perfect setting for a private party of nearly 300 guests. The east and west VIP Clubs can house intimate groups of 25 standing, or 18 seated invitees.
