501 Union has become a hub for the community to connect, celebrate, educate, and learn. It is located in five diverse Brooklyn neighborhoods: Gowanus, Carroll Gardens, Cobble Hill, Boreum Hill, and Park Slope. We welcome you to make our space fully yours for the evening, whether you're throwing a party, a conference, or a popup market. The structure, which dates from 1916, was previously a classic vehicle restoration shop. In 2013, it was converted into a private events facility, and it currently serves as a stunning backdrop for weddings, business gatherings, and photoshoots. Guests can enjoy three separate locations within the venue, paired with our great service: a covered atrium, an elegant cocktail bar, and a light-filled reception hall. Modo chandeliers by Jason Miller, customized Flavor Paper wallpaper, and a vaulted skylight that runs the length of the main gathering space are all locally sourced design features that embody the best of old and new Brooklyn: industrial elegance with a touch of modern luxury.

- What is the venue capacity?
- FULLY-SEATED DINNER WITH DANCE FLOOR 140-160 depending on furniture & layout choices | 144 seated in the covered atrium for a wedding ceremony COCKTAIL PARTY 200-250 depending on limited seating, stage, and dance floor layout
- Does the venue have an approved or preferred vendor list?
- You may use the vendors of your choice, however, we provide clients with a list of Preferred Caterers and Recommend Vendors whom we love and trust to provide excellent service! We have an exclusive rental vendor for flatware, kitchen items, linens, etc.
- Does your venue have on-site parking available for guests?
- Street parking is available. There is also a QuikPark garage located at 365 Bond Street, which is approximately a four (4) minute walk from the venue. We can also provide recommendations for preferred valet companies/
- Does the venue have a liquor license?
- Yes, we have a liquor license. Beverage service at 501 Union will be exclusively provided through our in-house bar program. There are several tiers and options to cater to the different needs of our clients.
- Does the venue have on-site A/V equipment?
- A/V System includes: - Integrated in-house sound system - Three stereo XLR access points throughout the space to allow for staging flexibility - Independent volume control between rooms (lounge, main space, covered atrium) - Two wireless microphones with stands - High-definition projector
