Susan Stripling is an editorial wedding photographer with over two decades of experience capturing real moments with clarity, precision, and a theatrical sense of joy. Based in New York and working worldwide, she brings a distinctive perspective to luxury weddings through a balance of documentary honesty and an eye for refined, cinematic detail. Her work has been featured in Martha Stewart Weddings, Grace Ormonde Wedding Style, Inside Weddings, Town & Country Weddings, and the New York Times. Commercial clients include Nikon USA, Epson, and Canon USA, where her images have appeared in campaigns and national advertising. Recognized as one of the top ten wedding photographers in the world by American Photo Magazine, Susan has also earned the title of Grand Master with ICON and is one of the few photographers named a Canon Explorer of Light—an honor held by only two female wedding photographers in the USA. In addition to her work with clients, Susan is a leading voice in photography education. She has taught at WPPI, PhotoPlus, Mystic Seminars, The Portrait Masters, and CreativeLive. She founded The Wedding School, an online platform offering accessible, in-depth education to photographers worldwide. Outside of photography, Susan reads everything she can get her hands on, watches horror movies year-round, and—despite her love of the genre—still insists on sleeping with the lights on.

- What is your pricing?
- I frequently tailor packages to match individual client needs. For a precise quote tailored to your wedding, email me at susan@susanstripling.com. Starting prices for local weddings begin at $9,000, with most clients investing around $15-20,000 on average.
- How would you describe your event photography style?
- I photograph weddings with a documentary approach, blending natural moments with intentional portraits. I won’t stage your reception, but I do value time alone with the couple for portraits. Details matter, and guest shots are candid—not posed table photos, but real moments and connection.
- How long after my event can I expect to receive my photos?
- Eight weeks post-wedding, your online gallery will be live, and that's when you'll get your digital files. Once the album designs have your nod, it usually takes about twelve weeks to have the album in your hands.
- Will you edit and color correct my photos?
- Absolutely! Every photo you receive is individually hand-edited, ensuring personalized attention rather than bulk processing. Additionally, my expert editing team often picks out a few standout images for extra detailed refinement beyond the standard edits.
- Will you bring an assistant as a supporting photographer?
- There is always a second photographer with all of my wedding collections.
