Founded in 2020
What began as an idea for a memorable cake smash moment, evolved into something SO much bigger - the birth of Smash Baby Smash. Amidst the rollercoaster of the Covid pandemic and strict lockdowns, our founder Laura was a new mom faced with the challenge of celebrating her daughter’s first birthday. Driven by her daughter’s desire to follow her passion, and armed with an eye for detail, and 15+ years in Luxury Fashion, Public Relations, Events & Production, Laura has dedicated her career to delivering extraordinary gatherings and unforgettable memories for her clients, one event at a time!

Laura Fugate
FounderLaura Fugate is a leading Fashion Publicist, turned Event and Balloon Stylist, hailing from Sydney, Australia. After moving to New York City at the age of 23 to further her career in PR, Laura worked with some of the industries biggest brands, producing fashion campaigns and runway shows for NYFW, store openings, brand launches + more. Today, Laura runs SMASH baby SMASH, smashing events all over the Seattle area, where she resides with her husband, Matt, their beautiful daughter, Phoenix.
