I have a strong desire to share delicious cuisine with my family and close friends. Growing up, I was usually in charge of the grill at family picnics, and I knew I wanted to get into the hospitality industry as a professional. My culinary education began after many years working as a Paramedic | Firefighter (of course, I was the station cook). I attended The Restaurant School in Philadelphia and graduated with a culinary diploma. I then spent more than a decade working at high-volume themed restaurants in the Washington, DC, and Baltimore areas while developing my concept for a restaurant that would serve wonderful comfort cuisine in a casual setting at an inexpensive price point. A barbeque restaurant called Kloby's Barbeque was discovered, which is now known as Kloby's Smokehouse, BBQ Restaurant, and Catering.
