Buttercream Bakeshop is a small but mighty bakery in the middle of Washington, DC. Our shop, which is owned and run by pastry chef Tiffany MacIsaac and her partner Alexandra Mudry-Till, provides something for everyone. We guarantee it. We specialize in both buttercream and fondant cake designs, despite our moniker. We adore our brides and grooms and consider it a pleasure to be a part of such a memorable occasion. We only accept a limited number of reservations per date. We recommend contacting us at least 6-8 months before your wedding date to secure your tasting appointment. We'll start by talking about the aesthetic of your big day so we can get a sense of how you want your event to appear and the mood you want your guests to be in. We'll build a sample proposal based on the information you provide and your desired budget. This is the first step in ensuring that our design concept and cost meet your expectations. The following step will be to set up a tasting. And, as we like to say, "wedding cake calories don't count," so dive in and enjoy a variety of our most popular cake flavors! After you've decided on a flavor, you'll need to complete the cake design and pay a deposit to secure your date. Because we only take a limited amount of bookings per date, we encourage contacting us to begin the dialogue and reserving your tasting at least 6-8 months before your wedding date. Cake tastings are $45 + tax and feature an assortment of 7 set slices of cake as well as numerous more buttercream, jam, and curd samples to mix and match. Our mini dessert tasting is $35 + VAT and includes 8 dessert tastes.
