Anna Le Pley Taylor Flowers is a third generation Fine Art Floral Design Family. Our family and relationships with our clients are at the heart of all we do. Anna Le Pley Taylor Flowers is a fine art floral design family that has been in business for three generations. At the heart of everything we do is the importance of family and building relationships with our clients. Our grandmother's floral design team worked in Palos Verdes, Southern California, and my sisters and I (there are four of us) sat in on their meetings and "helped" them create floral masterpieces for weddings in the area as children. We woke up at 4:00 a.m. to drive to the Los Angeles flower market, where we marveled at our grandmother's ability to recognize every supplier and stem by its specific name. She demonstrated how to create a vision for an entire event and which flowers would be most effective in achieving our objectives. We sat back and watched her consult with brides and create hanging gardens, bowers, and floating arrangements, each tailored to the specific needs and desires of her customers. She was fearless, and she had an insatiable desire to be creative. We were taken on a tour of the countryside by our mother, who taught us how to forage and which seasons produced which types of greenery, following in her footsteps. There was always a jar in the kitchen with a plant specimen sitting in it to see how long it would "last" when cut, or whether it would "do" if left out of water for any length of time. It was a fascinating experiment. Both were avid gardeners who cultivated many different types of flowers and greens for use in their floral arrangements, which they used to add a special touch to their creations. Our own flowers and gardens were started as soon as we were old enough to take care of them on our own. After years of organic lifelong tutorials, a family-based team of designers has been formed, each of whom brings their own creativity and strengths to the table when it comes to designing. Our deep commitment to one another, as well as the nature of family business, allows us to welcome our clients as friends and co-conspirators. Our goal is to make your floral planning process a joyful and creative experience, with the final result being a beautiful and memorable event for everyone involved. Additionally, our desire to purchase locally grown products from growers with whom we already have established relationships is in keeping with our family values. Our community, as well as our local growers and farmers, are very important to us. We adore our home on the central coast and want to do everything we can to help our community's economy thrive. We also believe that purchasing materials that are in season is better for the environment, and we look forward to seasonal changes because they provide us with a constantly changing palette with which to design. Creating arrangements with flowers and plants is one of the many pleasures of our profession, and we look forward to the gentle rhythm of seasonal change each year. Despite the fact that we are always willing to accommodate a client's specific request, even if it is out of season, our hearts are always drawn to the naturally occurring bounty of the season. It is because of this passion for the natural world that we embark on numerous foraging expeditions in search of the "just right" piece of something to incorporate into our design mix. Sometimes the best finishing touches are right in front of us in our own gardens, and other times we have to comb the local wild areas in search of the perfect finishing touch. We can't ship or pick up these special items in advance, so we have to pluck them from the trees the next morning while the dew is still clinging to their leaves. Our goal is to create a stunningly unique experience that reflects your personal style and aesthetic preferences. In addition to a wealth of knowledge, we have an outstanding design team that thrives on a creative challenge. Our favorite thing to do is to work hard, to create lush and beautiful arrangements using nature as our inspiration, and, most importantly, to have the honor of assisting you in celebrating a special occasion in your life.
