Angela + Evan

I'm Angela, one of the people behind the photography company Angela & Evan. Ten years ago, right after graduating from college and right after getting engaged, my husband Evan and I launched our company. Now that we are parents to two adorable boys named Eli and Gus, we are immensely grateful that we have been able to provide for our family via the pursuit of our passions. Our adventure began on the first day of class at the Art Institute of Seattle, and it's been a fantastic and wild trip ever since. We have had the good fortune to traverse the world and capture love and life. Although we have always enjoyed making art for other people, having our own children has really enhanced our admiration for passionate, sincere photographs. While everyone is smiling and staring at the camera in a nice photo, it's the in-between moments that truly capture who we are. When I take pictures of couples and families, I try to capture that same energy. I want you to see beautiful photography that moves you when you look back at your wedding album or family images. Images can, in my opinion, be lovely, flattering, and moving. I have a degree in fashion photography, and a big part of how I shoot involves seeking out gorgeous light and being able to delicately lead couples. In my work, I blend styled portraiture with candid encounters. It can be scary to have your picture taken, but my aim is to put you at ease right away. The way you interact with me matters just as much as the result I provide. I am highly open to suggestions, teamwork, and collaboration, and I will do everything in my power to realize your vision. It's a great duty to capture a once-in-a-lifetime occasion, but I enjoy it and take it seriously.
